Justice League: The New Frontier is an adult animated superhero film adapted from the DC Comics limited series DC: The New Frontier. Set during the Cold War, the story brings together heroes including Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash and Green Lantern as they confront a mysterious entity determined to eradicate humanity because of its capacity for violence.

The music reflects the film’s post-Korean War setting, drawing on the sound of the period while maintaining the scale of a superhero score. Jazz influences run throughout, with smoky saxophone and woodwind writing alongside triumphant trumpet themes and crisp orchestral writing, featuring many live instruments.

The soundtrack was released by La-La Land Records in 2008.
